Shaping My Days

So I came up with this idea to keep myself engaged in my wanderings and stories and photography. It’s not original, but it seems to be working for me. At least on Facebook. But I want more. More words, more stories, better stories, so I’m expanding to THE BLOG (I wish there was an echo button). Here’s how it goes:

Meandering Mondays: Places I’ve stumbled upon on my walking travels through my hood and a little beyond.

Tiny Town Tuesdays: Obvious, I hope.

Wandering Wednesdays: Like Meandering Mondays but with a car – a day’s drive or less.

Throw Back Thursday Travel: Embarrassing photos and stories of my youth on vacation.

Faraway Fridays: Anywhere on the globe, mostly many time zones from my home.

Scenic Saturdays: Just pretty places I’ve been lucky enough to find myself.

Sacred Sundays: I have a need to photograph churches and Buddhas so I figured this would be a nice place to put them.

Today will be my maiden voyage. In a separate post, I’ll share a little slice of my town. I hope you’ll play along.

How do you keep yourself engaged in your writing, photography, posting, general creativity? I’d love to hear!

  1. I like all these ideas, Allison. I think you’ve hit on a good way to spur on your creativity. The mind needs some hook to go to work on. Faraway Friday grabbed my imagination.

    1. Thanks, Tish! I’ve been so inconsistent, life getting in the way and all that. I was using the challenges of other blogs for a while to spur me on, but I lost track of who was asking for what and it just became more frustrating than fun. So maybe this will stick! Thanks for the words of encouragement.
