There is something so fascinating about a prehistoric animal that barely moves yet strikes such fear in so many. In truth, alligators rarely attack people unless they are provoked. And if you’re going to harass an alligator, well then.
On the other hand they are not warm and fuzzy either. They are their number one predator, cannibalizing their own species, picking on the little guys.
What they are is epic and I’ve been lucky enough to chat up quite a few. Here are some of my friends.

Thanks! They’re pretty easy to photograph once you spot them. They don’t move much!
That’s true. I’ve been out on several airboat tours in Florida and it’s always exciting when you capture a great gator photo.
