Today we ride the rails. We purchase our tickets at a window in a building with high ceilings and tall chandeliers of wrought iron. Long wooden benches, smooth from years of use, sit in formation facing the ticket windows in expectation. There are two people ahead of us. We didn’t order our tickets online, we chose … More On a Mission
I love the smell of California in the morning. It’s this light freshness that tricks me into believing the day will be cool. Not so, these past August days. Today, while tooling around Los Angeles I took in the dichotomy that defines this city. An IHOP that has complimentary valet parking for those that cannot … More The Pits

Absolutely soul-filling. It’s so much fun to play with … More A Photo A Week Challenge: Saturation
I fell in love with this tree in Yorba Linda, CA. It looks like a paint-by-numbers painting. And the white/gray of the bark is just striking against that incredible blue sky. More photos of bark or leaves here.
Fullerton, CA. You can’t tell by the photo, but this is a hard working dog. His job is to keep horses in check, alert humans of any slithery or four letgged predators and in general keep the stables safe. He deserves a break.
