It was a beautiful sunny day. One of the surprise Spring Florida days that actually felt like spring. Low humidity, cool breezes, blue skies and white puffy clouds.
It was a great day to be outside.
I ran into these four gents taking the waters. It was not necessary for them to immerse completely in the crystal clear streams of the waterfalls. Perching just outside the bigger drops they were still able to collect the misty spray on their feathers, soothing their petite souls.
The tiniest smile crinkled around their gently closing eyes as they absorbed the deliciousness of the day. There was no need for words between them, each alone in his own moment.
Some stayed for hours, others were more utilitarian about it, rinsing then retiring to the locker room to dry off and groom. Each mister was assigned his own space to take care of business and prepare for the rest of the day.
For some that meant some minor home improvements.
For others some exercise.
One or two found a place to nap and canoodle.
And still others remained under the mists.
I suppose tomorrow will bring similar pleasures. At least I hope so.
