I am lucky enough to live not much more than an hour away from the Ocala National Forest in central Florida. There, on beautiful Lake Kerr, is a yoga institute that I frequent. This young buck was raised by humans across the street from the institute when it was orphaned. He loves human contact and will eat right out of your hand. Hopefully soon he will realize he’s a deer and find his tribe, but for now it’s magical having him wander the property and greet people every morning.
lovely 🙂
Thank you.
Fantastic. Reminds me of Magritte’s Le Blanc-Seing.
Great shot!
Thanks!
That is truly magical to have a deer eat out of your hands – he may never be able to live in the wilds, though, because he’ll be too trusting of people…
I know. He’s getting a little randy now and I wish he could find his deer tribe. I believe he was orphaned as a tiny thing and someone with a horse farm took him in and raised him. He is beautiful.
