Oh Deer

Deer IMG_9684

I am lucky enough to live not much more than an hour away from the Ocala National Forest in central Florida. There, on beautiful Lake Kerr, is a yoga institute that I frequent. This young buck was raised by humans across the street from the institute when it was orphaned. He loves human contact and will eat right out of your hand. Hopefully soon he will realize he’s a deer and find his tribe, but for now it’s magical having him wander the property and greet people every morning.

    1. I know. He’s getting a little randy now and I wish he could find his deer tribe. I believe he was orphaned as a tiny thing and someone with a horse farm took him in and raised him. He is beautiful.
