Coimbature, India. On my second trip to India, my friend and I were treated to lunch at a local home. Here we are served a traditional banana leaf lunch. Served on freshly washed banana leaves are spicey, savory and sweet Indian foods. Or as they refer to it – food. The fresh carrots were added especially for us. When completed, the diner folds the banana leaf toward them if they found the meal satisfactory and away if not. It was delicious, we folded in.
