Oviedo, FL: One of the benefits of being an early riser is the chance to witness the world come alive every morning. As I sit in my living room journaling, reading – or let’s be honest – typing on the computer in the wee hours, I begin to perceive a change in the light. My eyes are drawn to the French doors, then beyond. Through the trees I see the tiniest hint of pink. I know it’s going to be a beautiful, soft sunrise. I walk outside, tip toeing in bare feet through the flowers that have yet to open, to get the best view. As I’m gazing skyward at the fleece-like pink clouds I notice the little gray puffs of cloud pretending to be smoke signals. I think they’re saying, “Good morning, it’s going to be a beautiful day.”
